Australian Bird Series

Lyn’s Australian Bird Series of hand-coloured linocut prints has evolved over more than 20 years.

Lyn has included some of the birds in collages along with watercolour paintings, hand-rusted papers and occasionally some wallpaper.

West End: Street to Sky

West End: Street to Sky is inspired by the inner city suburb Lyn and Paul have lived in and loved for decades. Two of Paul’s paintings were RQAS and Harden Art Prize finalists.

All Creatures

All Creatures is inspired by the endangered and extinct animals of Tasmania.

Once Were Burrowers

The Once Were Burrowers series concerns the drastic decline and extinction of Australia’s burrowing marsupials, largely because of habitat loss and predation by foxes and cats.

Paintings in this series are watercolour, charcoal and pen on large sheets of heavy 640 gsm cotton paper.

The Enormous Vastness

Lyn and Paul travelled through west Queensland during the Covid lockdowns. This series is inspired by the ancient beauty of the landscapes they saw.

Paul’s Be What You Wanna Be was a finalist in the 2023 Harden Art Prize.

Habitats exhibition

Habitats is Lyn’s watercolour series inspired by the birds, animals and plants of the wetlands, heath, woodlands and shore.

Disappearing Skylines series

Lyn’s Disappearing Skylines is about the impact of climate change, logging, mining, tourism and over-development on urban, coastal, desert and other rural locations.

The Simpson Desert, Torres Strait, Far North Queensland, Galilee Basin, Fraser Island, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Western Bass Strait and Tasmania are depicted.
