FAQs and T&Cs

Here are some frequently asked questions, and terms and conditions. If you have any other questions, please contact us.

What materials and media do you use in your paintings and limited edition prints?

We use professional oil and watercolour paints, canvases and papers. Oils are usually on linen or poly cotton canvas. Watercolours and limited edition prints are generally on cotton paper. Details are listed under each painting.

Will my painting be framed?

The oil paintings are on stretched canvas which are ready to hang, although some people may choose to get them framed. Framed watercolours are ready to hang. You will need to arrange framing of unframed watercolours and limited edition prints.

How can I buy online?

Payments are processed using the secure payment gateway, Square.com. You do not need to register and can pay with a debit or credit card. Payment is in Australian dollars and the currency conversion for international buyers will happen automatically.

How do I receive my artwork?

There are three options:

  • Pick up from Whynot Studio, our studio in West End, Brisbane – just contact us to make a mutually convenient time
  • Free delivery within Brisbane – we just need to make a mutually convenient time
  • Ship to your address outside Brisbane.

How much does shipping cost?

The postage cost for unframed watercolour paintings and prints is included in the price. The piece will be wrapped in acid-free tissue and posted in a cardboard tube or book envelope.

For stretched canvas or framed paintings, a flat-rate shipping fee to Australian capital cities and any destination in Queensland will be added at the checkout when you buy. Just select ‘Shipping’ as the mode of delivery.

If you require delivery to a regional area outside Queensland or internationally, please contact us before you buy for a quote on shipping.

We usually send orders within five working days. Shipping times vary depending on the destination. All parcels are tracked and require a signature on delivery.

Shipments outside Australia may incur import duties or taxes levied by the destination country. These are at the customer’s expense and it is your responsibility to look into this.

Damage in transit

We pack everything carefully but, if the work is damaged in transit, please email us within seven days and attach a photograph of the damage.

Returns

We hope you’ll be really happy with your artwork but, if a piece is not as you expect, please contact us by email within seven days of taking delivery to request a return and refund.

Once a return has been agreed, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery at your expense, using the same service used to send it to you.

Once the piece has been safely returned, we will refund your payment minus the cost of the original shipping and payment gateway (Square.com) fees within 14 days. We cannot offer a refund or return outside the seven-day time limit, or on artwork damaged after you receive it or damaged during return transit, or on any piece sent outside Australia.

We retain copyright for the artwork and it must not be reproduced without our written permission.
