The woodlands paintings focus on the birds, animals and plants in Australia’s vast woodlands.  

Many of the animals emerge from the woodlands at night to graze on the grass but sometimes you can see them basking in sunny patches in the bush during the day.  

I love the patterns on the bark of the tall trees with their gnarls, twists and turns. 

I make the marks in these paintings not only with brushes but with the leaves, seeds, lichens and sedges that I find along the way.
